After a nice sit-down-and-order breakfast in the hotel, we took a driving tour of east Dallas. We first drove by the house where Jane was living when Philip was born. We went by a couple of years ago when we were here, but forgot to take photos that day. Next we drove by his childhood home expecting to photograph it, too. Drove to Dallas today and checked into The Highland for two nights. Philip made arrangements with one of his high school buddies to meet him with his wife for dinner. We met Marion and Diane at Seasons 52 in North Park mall and had a great time. The guys were able to catch up on what they've done for the past 45 years and reminisced a little. We drove to San Antonio and checked in at the Doubletree before going to Shaun and Yvette's home. We took time to visit for a while before going with Shaun driving our car to The Cove for dinner. It’s a casual place with long communal tables both indoors and out serving locally grown or raised food—mostly hamburgers. Live music started while we were still eating with open mike to follow.
