Another day of driving from Fort Smith to Amarillo. We could have driven the rest of the way tonight, but it would have put us into Albuquerque very late, so we decided to stop one more night. After eating barbecue in every state that we've been through, sometimes more than once, this was the first time in a long time arriving in Amarillo that I didn't insist on going to Dyer's for dinner. Instead we went to Saltgrass for steak for Phil and chicken fried steak for me. We will be home tomorrow.
