Well, this was an ace week that Pete & I spent in Boston, USA. We managed to cram so much sightseeing into such a short space of time, even hiring a car for a couple of days to go further afield and take in some different sights ... this includes going to see the Wrestling in Springfield which was something I just had to do when in America ! We drove down to Cape Cod and along the coast which was gorgeous, sampling the best seafood in a place called Sandwich, before heading over to Rhode Island to see how the rich people live ! We visited only one mansion whilst there, but there were absolutely loads of them open to the public (for a fee) and we could have got more envious if we had continued to check them all out ! While we were looking around Boston itself, we got to see and do lots of great things including : * walking through Boston Common ; * going for a ride on a 'Boston Duck' (WWII Amphibian vehicle) ; * drinking at the 'Cheers' bar ; * visiting the Boston Aquarium ; * learning lots of stuff in the Science Museum ; * doing a Boston walking tour to see lots of famous monuments etc ; * going to an 'Improv' (improvisation) Comedy Night ; * watching the Boston Marathon ; * spending a fortune on tickets to see the Boston Red Sox lose Baseball ! * viewing the interesting art in the Museum of Fine Arts ; * shopping in Filene's Basement (got a bargain dress, but never worn it !)
