I was now sharing a tent with Claire and more often than not 2 or 3 baboons, baby warthogs or Taz the porcupine. My final room mate was Kelly who discovered she had pnuemonia soon after arriving on the farm so made everything a bit interesting for her and me!

While we were in Neuras yet another baby arrived - Fila. She would only sleep with Dallas and woke up during the night with night terrors due to death of her mother. The night of the staff party was the day we got back from Neuras and Caro had been given the "honour" of babysitting Fila. Fila ended up screaming for 7 hours and Caro ended up in tears until I took Fila off her and finally managed to get her to sleep. After this the staff decided we needed to socialise her so I spent the next couple of afternoons in the baboon room with Fila, Emma and Bon Bon getting her used to other people.

Caro, Zoe, Adam and I went for a weekend in Swakopmund - Adam and I rooming again! Other than drinking, meeting up with Colette and Hildegarde, watching Star Wars Adam jumped out of a plane while the girls went quad biking.

Christmas was spent at one of the investors houses with gorgeous food and decent wine. Zoe was wearing an santa costume and entertaining everyone as usual! We all ended up in the pool and finally left with Rudi and Marlice at 8.30 and promptly went to bed!

New Year involved a lot of alcohol and started with team games and moved on to karoake and creating whirlpools in the pool. The next day was tough on almost all of us - Zoe moved into the fridge!

Claire and Zoe left and my friends circle reduced to Camilla and Devon. I spoent a lovely night at the lodge, we had a snake demonstration, more cheetahs moved to Neuras and my time at the farm was drawing to an end.

I tried not to cry as I left and found it easier as I had already booked to return in August.

Sad news was that Duma went AWOL and after I left was found dead of a suspected snake bite.
