I woke up on Thursday to the warm sunny Barcelona. We're staying right on the main city street near Catalunya station which is a perfect location. As it was 1 30 and we were still pretty tired we thought a beach day would be suitable. we had to catch a train and a tram to a cleaner beach a tour guide recommended. However we actually caught the tram the wrong way which took us to olimpica beach. It was still relaxing to just lie on the beach in the sun and also go swimming. when you go in the water it's just little stones and pebbles underneath your feet. We stayed there until about 6 as its so easy to lose track of time as the weather was still so hot. We honestly felt like ghosts strolling around the beach in our bikinis, compared to all the other tanned people. Once we had soaked up enough uv rays for one day, we bought some little sandwiches and headed for home. When we were making dinner, two girls recognised our accents and it turned they were from Adelaide! Strayaaaa! We sat and ate dinner with them as they told us all about there travels they had previously done. its basically our trip but in reverse. They wrote down bars, hostels and sights to see in Greece,Italy and Amsterdam. It's so handy. After dinner we all decoded to go out so they took us to this cute little Irish pub just down the street. it was so cool when i ordered a vodka lemonade, the bar tender just free poured the vodka into the glass. I'm pretty sure it was about half vodka half lemonade! The drinks were so strong an reasonably priced and it didn't take long for them to hit us. Carly and Tess were pretty beat so they called it a night. Mol, Bek and I were having a ripper time so we made our way to a new bar/club we found down a little alleyway. We bought two sangrias because we really wanted to try them. They came in huge glasses with really thick straws. I don't think I've ever tasted anything so strong in my life. It tasted like wine and tequila mixed together. After that we ha a really good boogie on the dance floor as all the songs were ones we knew from Aussie clubs. We danced with so many people it was crazy fr such a small place. We ended up trudging home around 4 30 , made friends with an American guy in our hostel , ate potato chips and then crashed. In sure our Brazilian roommates loved us when we got home haha. ! Also forgive my grammar and spelling it is so difficult on this little phone screen. Anyway, so far Spain is lovely. Xoxo Alice
