31st May 2005 I can't believe its all over! Reflecting on it, I would HAVE said to anyone who asked, should I do the 4 day trek or get the train/bus, to get the train/bus BUT actually it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, something I'll treasure forever. Would I do it again? Never say never............... We headed to the Hot Springs and had a good soak for several hours and then wandered around the town before catching the train...

30th May 2005 Todays the day everyone was waiting for, the whole point of the trek.........we got up at 5am and started walking to the check point at 5.30am. We walked our way round the mountain to the bottom of the Sun Gate, where we climbed 50 more steps that were vertually vertical, and then we saw it, Machu Picchu..........its was so stunning. 28th May 2005 Today was far easier than yesturday and much more scenic, Liz and I basically stuck together today, with behind us, I think still suffering a little, as he seems to be much better after lunch, leaving us for dust!
