Ali's Travels
28th May 2005
Today was far easier than yesturday and much more scenic, Liz and I basically stuck together today, with behind us, I think still suffering a little, as he seems to be much better after lunch, leaving us for dust!
My blisteres that I got from the day previous were so sore they no longer hurt, your okay, I didn't take a picture of them! But they were like something out of a horror film!
We managed to be only 10minutes behind everyone else today, and when we got to the lunch stop we got a big cheer!
We passed many Inca Ruins some of which Liz, Ben and I didn't make purely because we just couldn't face going up anymore stairs, we were so sore! NOTE TO ONES SELF:- Must get fit!!!!!!!!!
After lunch we headed down to the third camp site, down, down, down, more Inca stairs...........the porters were passing us be running down the stairs, they are totally mad..............
We arrived early evening, I was liturally hobbling to the camp site and our pitch was the farthest away from anything, although we did manage to get a hot shower which was bliss! We had out last meal the porters made for us, the meals were out of this world! Some of the best meals I have had in Peru and they are all freshly cooked for us!
There was a disco on that evening, but no one from our group went, the start the next morning was 5am, so we all went to bed shortly after dinner!
