24th May - 26th May 2005 Over the last few days we haven't really been up to much, just mooching around Cuzco city, relaxing - in anticipation of the IncaTrail. Not wanting to exert ourselves as we both know that it is going to be a tough few days - well I am nervous about it anyway!

23rd May 2005 Cuzco is my oyster!!!! Again I bummed around for the day, just drifting around like a proper traveller, without the smell!!!! Although I am sure that will come with time :-) Found the place where we have to confirm the Inca Trail - I can't believe that it has come round so quickly!!!! I have to say I am not looking forward to the trek itself, cos'I know how unfit I am but the sites I am going to see I hope will make it all worth while!!...

22nd May 2005 Well today was rather non eventful!!! I spent the entire day in an internet cafe uploading all my photo's on to this site!!!! I was so slow and very boring, however, at least now I am upto date! I went out for dinner to a resturant next door to the hostel, being brain numb from the computer I couldn't be bothered to go all the way to the Plaza de Armas (where most of the resturants are). 21st May 2005 Today was day of dirfting around the town just chilling out. I visited the Inca Museum which rests on Inca foundations and has been rebuilt serveral times due to earthquakes! It exhibits typical Inca pottery, jewllery, mummies etc... In the evening I met up with an English couple, Ben and Becky, who we seem to keep bumping into in each town we visit! 20th May 2005 Today I left for Cuzco, the home of Machu Pichu!!! Ben decided he wanted to hop over to Bolivia for a few days so we decided to meet up in Cuzco next week. I took the 'Pony Express'bus to Cuzco which took nearly 9 hours!!! More like 'Donkey Express'! It should have been a 5-6 hour bus ride but the driver kept stoping at every town on the way and we we got stopped twice by the Police at several villages who insisted they search the bus!!...
