Had an absolutely amazing time in Lima. We arrived and our hostel, Hotel España, was full of Greek style statues - very random. We had a lovely wander around the old town as our hostel was really near the Plaza de Armas, then had dinner of chicharones - breaded fish. Then went out and drank too much beer and pisco sour.
Over the next couple of days we spent a lot of time wandering around Lima, we also took a bus up to San Cristabelle to get an overview of the city - its absolutely massive. We also went to the Museo Larco, a museum with loads of pottery that Larco the archiologist collected from all the different periods of Peruvian history. We found a shopping centre, Larcomar, which was built into a cliff in the Miraflores area, which had such good food and icecream and even had a Starbucks! This was amazing after our two weeks out in the middle of nowhere. Overall, had a great time in Lima - cant wait to go back there at the end of the trip.
