After finishing lunch we then travelled downhill round numerous switchbacks until we came to another fjord (not surprisingly!) this fjord took us nearly an hour to get to the end and then round to continue on our way. Colin has come to terms with the 40 kms speed limit when it allow as him to enjoy the views and the roads!
On entering Stryn we were a little perplexed not to find any sign posts for our continued journey but after a quick look at the map we were confident that we were heading in the right direction- no arguments or anything!!
As we rode along the perfect photo view emerged in front if us (not done justice by my photo check out Colin's on Facebook) with sunshine, clouds, mountains and reflections.
We stopped for a photo shoot and engaged in conversation with an Australian couple who invited us to have a brew with them - they were in car needless to say!
They are 1 week in to a 10 week tour taking in Norway North and South, Iceland, Scotland, Ireland and UK. John was most envious of us being on bike as he has a GS at home. We spent a good hour or more chatting with them about their current travels and also where they had been in the world; they have been far more adventurous than us but the one thing they did say was because of living in Australia they always flew to the starting point if their trip and hired bikes through groups; this may be a way for us to do the Silk Road through Mongolia one year. Colin did offer them the use of our bike for the UK and Ireland trip but as both John and Trish agreed, they would still be missing the right gear!
