You know that feeling when every one else on the train gets up except you because you think you're going further but this is where the train terminates?
Yes/no, it doesn't really matter, I guess you can imagine... Well it happened twice to me today, the first time it was because the train did terminate (I was improvising train paths). But this second time, everybody got up, there was the moment of 'dammit Hockin, not again!' But then all the locals kicked a lever and all the seats started spinning around! The train was changing direction and I guess these guys REALLY don't like going backwards! Kumamoto gets top marks for water features and I guess the castle was alllriiight but I'm glad I'm not staying there.

• Legs are knackered from a very long "20 minute walk" to the pretty garden and castle in Kumamoto...
• Hangover finally gone...
• I think it's going to be easier to get 150 pikachu photos than one of each original...
• On the way to Beppu which apparently had multicoloured hot springs :D ...

Fact: Shinkansen go so fast because every when has its own motor!
