After a very rough boat crossing, which mainly involved Steph draped over the side of the boat attempting to hold down her breakfast... nice!
Making it in one piece and with a glimour of sun on the horizon we headed for a hostel called 'The Loft' on Chenang beach. It was a nice hostel that offered free breakfast and internet and had a cool chillout bar on the roof and clean, good sized rooms with cable TV.

We went for a walk along the beach and with each step the clouds started to disappear and the sun shine through... morale was improving. So much so that we decided to book another night here, instead of our original plan to just stop over and head west to Krabi. There was so much fresh seafood in the restaurants for dinner that Steph was very tempted to try but due to them being a little pricey we ended up finding a small Thai restaurant that was cheap and cheerful and actually pretty tasty.

Our second day on Koh Samui was spent mainly on the beach making the most of the change in the weather - We still blame Birdie and Danielle for the bad weather on Koh Phan Gan!!!

After booking our boat and bus journey to Krabi for the following day we backed up all our photos onto CDs and DVDs and went for some dinner. We ended up having a curry from a nice Indian restaurant just down the road. Its was yummy and a welcome change from Thai cuisine.

Up at 6am the next morning for our minbus pick up, we checked out and set out in search of more sunshine.

Next stop the Krabi!!
