Our upside down journey started 200+ days ago when we first booked the trip but the day of actually putting our rucksacks on and making our way to the airport came around so quick. After I got over the stress of packing my rucksack for the final time and trying to function on minimal hours sleep (!!), the laavely miss Katy, miss Soozie and I got on the road to Heathrow.

Turns out that after all of my efforts, Livy won on the lightest bag but mine came in at 10 odd kg so that wasn't to bad, I assume I'm going to shed the weight as I go along.

Wrote this 7 hours into our flight to LA, have currently watched Ted, This Means War, The Watch and now on Blackadder, 4 hours to go and wow time goes slow up here.

Loved reading people's letters, and thank you for the photos too - they'll get me through the sad moments!!

I'm posting this a few hours after as I had to wait until I was on wifi. Just got Chinese TAKE OUT and catching up on the gossips with Gem. Santa Monica tomorrow, bit of sun bathing and pretend to build some muscles on muscle beach wooo!! Hello LA!! 4 days until our next mega flight - next stop Fiji..
