Day 45 I had a nice lie-in before heading over to Darling Harbour which was incredibly nice and modern but with lots of gardens, including the Chinese Gardens and the Tumbalong Gardens with many different styles of water features all along the harbour edge. Similar to the Yarra River in Melbourne, Darling Harbour offers people the chance to dine/drink or shop in a great location that looks over to the city's CBD but has a little bit less noise and a lot more sun. I headed into the Information Centre to pick up all the pamphlets I needed to plan my days out before venturing down past the Sydney Maritime Museum on my way to the Fish Market where one of my flat mates Dave works. When I arrived at the markets the smell of fish was quite strong and made me feel a little bit queasy but once I found the actual market the smell was a lot better and thankfully where Dave works which is the Blackwattle Deli, there wasn't any fish sold there so I was lucky, and as I haven't got the chance to purchase any of Pemberton's yummy chocolate over here, in Dave's Deli they had some homemade chocolate so I had to buy some, and I shall let you all know how good it tasted once I've eaten it all! I hope everyone is keeping well and all getting prepared and ready for Christmas, I am starting to feel a bit more Christmassy now having seen a few Christmas Trees and decorations about, but I think it is more psychological for the fact it is the 18th of December and today the temperature was above 30 degrees and I am walking around in shorts. But I think as a flat we are going to get some simple decorations to spruce the flat up a bit and make sure we don't all forget that it is the festive season and we all need to be jolly. Speak to everyone soon, will keep updating this when I can. Have a look at the pictures if you haven't had a chance yet.
