Ari and Al's Adventure!!
Cu Chi Tunnels
Our next trip was to Cu Chi to see the war tunnels which were used during the Vietnam war by local villagers of the region to hide from the Americans. The tour was fascinating and there was so much history being told. Part of the forest had been left as it was since the war days and so we saw some traps, blown up tank remains and the famous tunnels.
We got to try and fit into their hiding holes, which you couldn't stay more than a few minutes inside, and then we went to the long tunnels and tried crawling through in the pitch black for about 200m.
The other remains of the tunnels went for miles but were no longer open to the public. The trip helped us understand so much about the war.
