Penang

On the island we stayed in the main part called George town. It was a lot different to the rest of Asia we had seen so far. There was a lot of old colonial buildings from the British rule era and the water front reminded me of Plymouth. Further in the town there was a strong Indian minority and so it didn't take us long to sniff out a curry! Ari was persistent in seeing the floating mosque, which after an hours bus ride we got to see, but it wasn't that impressive.

We did however visit a Chinese temple, quite high up in the mountain with good views of Penang, but again amazing food was a highlight here!

Penang was ok but not a lot to do so it was time to move on.
