Last night we went to the Ventas arena via the underground rail to see a bullfight. The trains and stations were very clean and orderly and very easy to use. We enjoyed the pomp and ceremony of the bullfight where the matadors , toreadors and picadors all parade into he arena with the horses, in their brightly coloured outfits and all wearing pink stockings. But that is where it ended - we only stayed until the first bull was killed and decided it wasn't for us, so we left. Got off the train at Opera and found a place out on the street for dinner of Paella. This morning we checked out of the Hotel and got a taxi to the "fast train" station. Gerry is a bit unwell - thinks it was some peanuts that he ate last night that have caused his problem. The train took 3 hours and we got a taxi to the NH Podium which is very nice especially after Madrid which was way too small. We have a lovely rooftop pool and bar and lots of terrace on rooftop. Could spend a few afternoons there I think. Tonight we just ate in the restaurant as Gerry still testing the waters. We both had grilled fish in a banana leaf with lemon and orange flavours. Early night and hope that Gerry feels a bit better to or row.
