We were served a beautiful breakfast of fresh fruit and yoghurt, a boiled egg, bread, bread rolls, cold meat, cheeses, bread and croissants and pastries, all washed down with fresh orange juice and coffee. A catch up day today on my blog as the wi-fi service is very unreliable. We left San Sebastián on Thursday morning and came to St. Emilion via the motorway which was a bit over 3 hours. We stopped in a small village and bought a sandwich for lunch before we arrived. Our B & B was out in the country in the middle of the vineyards at a place called Rauzan not far from St Emilion and Libourne. It is called Ilot Vignes and is run by a lovely lady called Claudia ...

Emilion and found a good free park and explored the cobble stone streets for some time. We then found a nice place for lunch and shared a salad and glass of rosé. We went over the bridge this morning and found a nice place for breakfast where we actually got eggs on toast even though it wasn't on the menu. Mostly it is toast, or pastries or croissants for breakfast here. Looking forward to some muesli. We then walked around the far beach and back to the hotel. Got our bag and headed towards the main beach and walked the foreshore past the aquarium and all the way around to the Fenicular. We boarded that and went to the top...

This morning we slept as the Spanish do - till late! Because we don't eat till after 9 pm we aren't getting to bed before midnight, so a late morning start. Besides you can't get breakfast until after 9 am and even then it's minimal. So after breakfast we took our washing to the laundry where we had to pay Euro 8 for the wash and Euro 6 for the dryer so expensive load of washing at around $20 Australian.
