A catch up day today on my blog as the wi-fi service is very unreliable. We left San Sebastián on Thursday morning and came to St. Emilion via the motorway which was a bit over 3 hours. We stopped in a small village and bought a sandwich for lunch before we arrived. Our B & B was out in the country in the middle of the vineyards at a place called Rauzan not far from St Emilion and Libourne. It is called Ilot Vignes and is run by a lovely lady called Claudia from Martinique in the Carribean. She has converted this old tumbled down building into a lovely B & B. there is another couple staying here for a week from England called Paul and Sehelena. We settled in and Claudia said she would prepare dinner for us at Eu30 each so we took her up on that as did Paul and Sehelena. The dinner was beautiful and consisted of an aperitif of Kir and orange juice chilled and some mini croissants filled with something delicious. Next we had duck liver salad, followed by duck served with courgettes and potatoes. Then we had cheese platters and that was followed by dessert. Wine was included so it was a lovely meal.
