We set off earlier, as discussed the previous night, at about 7.30. We are told that the stop of will be at Austin, Texas for a couple of hours to a park/river. We arrive in Austin a couple of hours later & head down to the Barton Spring River, the river and bankment is filled with adults,kids & pets all swimming, sunbathing, paddling in canoes and playing ball games. We find a spot to settle down at & me Nigel & Facu decide to hire a tin Kayak. I get in first at the front Facu paddling at the back and Nigel sat in the middle, all well to begin with, but as soon as we push off for some reason somehow the boat capsizes and sends all 3 of us plunging into the river, ha! Manage to empty the kayak and attempt it again and successfully staedying the kayak for a second time we paddle down the river. We spend about 20 minutes doing so out and onto the main river we decide to turn back but against the current this time, so obviously alot harder. It's ok for me though cause i had changed seats with Nigel so I just had to shout out the orders and soak up the rays :), lol. We finally made it back to the group which came about quicker than I thought as I kind of had a suspicion what might happen and those suspicions soon came to light when we saw Taft and Jack waiting for us!! They grabbed the kayak and tried topping the boat, so with no escape from their grasp & me knowing our fate I decided to take the plunge and leave Nigel & Facu to battle it out with Taft & Jack! inevitably they soon end up in the water aswell!!! After drying of a little, we all head back to the busbut i've still not dried off so I just sit in the bus with just my boxers, apologies to Stine for whom I had to sit next to for the rest of the journey that day!! :). We drive through Austin and through Austin University Campus, pass all the stadia the university has and some could of been at home in the premiership!!!! We drive a little further to our next camp site in San Antonio, set up and have dinner. After dinner we get ready for a night out at a place called Midnight Rodeo where a live band was playing called J J Henson Band, have a great night with few beers pool & live music.
