LAST DAY OF TREK :'(. After waking up at 5.30 from Nigel coming through the door giggling after his night out, :). I eventually wake up about 7. Pack my case & we leave the hotel for L.A about 8.30. The drive is 350miles and it's not long before most of us are alseep again on the bus. Arrive in L.A, and pass Beverley Hills hotel, driven down sunset strip, taken to the chinese theatre which is where the famous stars are and also the hand and footprints. Stay there for half hour before driving up to a point where we can take pictures of the Hollywood sign. Drive into LA where we drop Stine of at her hostel, we then drive towards our hotel, but unfortunately our plans to go watch odgers baseball game hits a snag when we hit rush hour traffic!!! Arrive at the hotel 1 hour later than expected so instead of watching the game we all go for a meal togother for the last time, have nice meal before getting taxi back to the hotel for some sleep before our last day in U.S :(

17th June 2009

I wake up at 5ish get my bags packed and wait for Facu & Jess to get ready. Me Alex and Facu say goodbye to Nigel for his earlier flight and then around 7.30 Me, Jess & Facu take the shuttle towards the airport so we can pick the car up. After paperwork sorted etc we finally get the car, Toyota Prius, and start driving which in a way was trying to learn to drive all over again, The car was automatic & also remembering to drive on the wrong side of the road! ha. We find somewhere to eat first then head to Manhatton beach for a short while with a couple of photos included but then have to drive back to the hotel and drop Facu off for his flight and to collect our bags. Jess then sends us of down the coast to find some more sand but we end up finding a dock filled with boats and Yachts, we still get out for a bit and walk around looking at the boats before heading north towards our hotel but not before stopping of at Redondo beach for a walk around the pier and short venture onto the sand. By this time it's 4pm so we drive back north towards the Airport to drop the car of and then check in for departures at about 5.30. Our flight is slightly delayed because of a change somewhere, at departures and we take off at about 9.30pm, and finally arrive back at Heathrow about 3.30!
