We stayed in Railay for six nights in total. Railay is in mainland Thailand, although it is only accessible by boat, so it does have an island feel about it. It is a lot quieter than Ko Phi Phi, and there were less annoying posh kids around which was a nice change. There are a couple of really nice beaches and cliffs. We stayed in Pai in Northern Thailand for six days.We stayed in a hut right by the river, it was pretty basic, just a bed on the floor, mossie net and fan. We did have a bathroom at the back of the hut, which was basically outside, and a favourite place for disgusting creatures to hang out as it was shady, cool and wet.
