Hello from Adelaide. We stay here 2 nights so we can watch the AFL grand final. Go Eagles!
On our way out of Hahndorf we stop at the Beerenberg Farm Store for some jam and chutney tasting. We buy some chocolate covered freeze dried strawberries. They are yum but it is probably not the wisest decision to give Emily one in her car seat. She coats herself head to toe in chocolate and the car seat. I cannot wait to wash that seat cover. It has had to put up with a lot on this trip!
Adelaide is a short 35 minute drive. Tonight we go to Glenelg in search of dinner. We take the kids onto the beach which is covered in fine white sand. They have a ball running around. We are treated to a spectacular sunset which we did not expect!
That night we order Nando's. They mess up our order and by the time we get all our food we have been waiting 40 minutes and the kids have had enough. We do not finish our food...
Grand final morning we head back to Glenelg for breakfast. Mark spots a cafe down a down a side road called Zest so we grab a table. This is a little gem. William devours the homemade fruit toast and does not share a morsel. Mark has eggs and I have French Toast. The coffee is great. We love this place!
We take a drive around Adelaide City and visit the botanic gardens. William loves getting out for a good run and Emily walks the entire way. She is full of giggles. We all enjoy the gardens, especially the ice cream and scones!
That afternoon we watch the grand final in the room. It is fair to say Mark is extremely disappointed with the way the game goes. Me too :( It takes a few hours for Mark to move on after the game finishes!
Emily falls asleep at 5 and does not wake for dinner. It must have been all that walking!
