It was not enough just to see the magnificent glacier from the front and up top, we had to get closer. Kayaking...this was the solution to get up close and personal with the glacier. We braved the 3 degrees Celsius water with icebergs drifting around us and paddled to an island close by to have a coffee and admire the view. We then paddled straight to the glacier face. These 90km's of natures best was a truly unforgettable experience and sadly our last day. After the 3 hour trek back to Paine Grande we got the catamaran back and I got the miracle I prayed for...they had found my camera bag which still contained everything I had in it (including my bank card), except unfortunately my mobile and some cash.
