Not expecting much of this vintage cobbled stoned beach town, I was blown away by what it offered us in the end. We stayed in a Pousada again (Brazilian guest house). As we got there late afternoon we explored a bit and went for dinner at this quaint restaurant with live jazz music. The food was great, but my highlight was that I got to sing 3 songs with the band whose keyboarder player is a famous samba music recording artist...so even if that's not a claim to fame, it was pretty cool non the less.
The next day we went on a boat ride owned by these 2 Brazlian guys, for 50 Reals we got to laze on the top deck of the medium sized boat, with free water, Caiparinhas and the most amazing onboard barbeque of Fish, Steak and Chicken. We were further invited by the crew to join for sundowners by which we got to swim in the sunsets raise that was so welcoming and a one for the "I cant believe this is happening list".
Paraty certainly surprised me and had even more to offer in terms of waterfalls and Casacha factory tours, but the Pantanal was calling.
