Flight out to Munich, caught up with Carl and Carol at Heathrow. Problems at Munich though as our connecting pick up wasn't there and Carl and Carol had already left. Rang the ship to let them know of the issue and then just grabbed a cab. There is something to be said for flying down the autobahns at more than 180km/h, felt much safer than with Varun in India or perhaps I was conditioned to the driving. Bit of a drama once we got to Nurnberg with finding the boat so basically rang the ship again and handed the driver the phone, got to love global roaming. Will admit that once we got in the cab I did turn on the data roaming to make sure we were going to the right place, maps is another wonderful tool as well, especially given my directions matched exactly where the driver was going. Finally got to the boat only 5 or 10 minutes after Carol and Carl. Mind you it cost us €230 which I will need to sort out. If that is the only thing that goes wrong on the holiday I'll be happy.
