Afternoon all, thought I better give you an update on how I'm getting on.
My journey began going on a Blue Bigeon Travel trip to London to see Legally Blonde, who would have thought 48 hours later i would be eating cockroaches before I went to see some Thai Boxing.
First things first Legally Blonde was an awesome musical, and I would reccomend it too anyone, but be warned it closes in April some time so get your tickets to see it soon, my journey went decently mangaing to catch the tube to Heathrow all by myself, also manging to negotiate myself through passport control and getting my transfers to the hostel. And it wasn't long before Earl joined me at the hostel.
The hostel is pretty decent with free internet access, clean and good showers and stuff, so we decided to stay an extra night. Our first night was pretty steady and we headed off around a few of the local pubs, first to an Irish bar called O'Neills when we saw some Thai chaps covering the Beatles and they were pretty impressive, then we went on to what we thought was a boxing club known as Pink Panther which was definitley not a boxing club and what we were expecting, we soon got out of there and went a couple more places and then retreated for an early night.
Today, I manged to get to Level 27 on crown jewel search on my state of the art phone as I was waiting for Earl to wake up, meaning we missed out on going to the snake farm and market today, in fairness he did have no sleep in 48 hours so it was ok. We went for breakfast and developed a plan to go a walk round Lumphini Park and then to see some Thai boxing at Lumphini stadium. This was awesome, the park was really relaxed and heaving with activity even though me and Earl didn't proceed with what we think were national anthem proceedings. We then had a stroll round the markets to kill some time before Thai boxing started and decided it would be a good idea to get some of the local delicassies, this included crickets, cockroaches and grubs, hopefully there will be a video on here and some photos to show you how disgusting it sounds. Anyway we then went to see the Thai boxing which was decent even though some of the fighters looked about 15, now we are back at the hostel prepering for a day at the market tomorrow, doing a burger challenge and going to watch the man utd game at the Irish bar,
Anyway thats us all up to date, I hope every one is keeping well, I'll keep you posted in the next few days about the markets, snake farm etc.
Love Adi
