After hitting the major spots of the OC and LA I decided to head north to San Fransisco for the weekend. Before leaving nicole and evans i packed the essantials into my day bag, it took some convincing but both the guys were certain i would need to lend one of evans jackets for the weekend. i already had a jacket but they insisted (lucky i took their advice- would of died without it!) Flew in and then rode the Bart system down town. Sore a couple of chicks from denmark getting off the train who looked like they had as much of an idea of where they were as I did. After going and introducing myself Laura and Boletta told me they were actually staying in the same hostel ! After we walked up there and got settled we heading out to watch the first major semi of NFL which happened to be San Fran and Greenbay. Beer and buffalo wings: and the atmosphere in the sports bars was unreal ! San Fran one so we headed back to out hostel for the (free alcohol!) party..Met some cool guys from all over the world , probably one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at! The next day hit the Golden Gate Bridge , had my first taste of 'in and out' burger and went on a twilight cruise of the marina that actually went around Alcatraz and under the GGB. Spent the day with an unlikely pair from Sydney's eastern suburbs but they were good company. Had a great dinner at Joe's Crab Shack ! Went out to a cool dive bar later that night and got pretty high (can't not in San Fran). Next day did the Alcatraz tour which was really well put together , learnt alot and it was so sick to just be there . Spent the rest of the day cruising the fort mason and fishermans wharf area with the two Danish girls. Got some some photos, ate some tasty clam chowder and rode the street carts home uptown into the sunset. Exhausted after a sick day.
Next day cruised the city with Laura before we both headed for the airport. She was heading back to Denmark after having studied in the states for the last 6months. Boletta flew out earlier that morning ; she'd been studying in Alaska!!
San Fran was awesome but I Was pumped to get back to LA ; Evan had a sick night planned ...
