Jan 10-11
After my introduction after day one Nicole was keen to show me around the Orange County coastal area! I woke mid morning and went for a run down to Huntington pier (f***ing freezing) then came back for a coffee and toast before we rolled out for a little tour. Getting to check out, Laguna beach and Newport was sick! Went to some nice lookouts , and cool art gallery and met Evan for lunch and blackies beach for some quality Mexican food. Had a chilled out arvo a nice home cooked meal for tea and stayed up late talking s*** and smoking bowls with Nicole and Ev - my intro to the California lifestyle couldn't of been funner!
Next day we headed into "Hollyweird" .. I loved the place awesome energy - really positive! Took some sick photos on Hollywood boulevard and went to madam tousons wax museum! Unreal... Then headed to Universal studios- so awesome ! My jaw was dropped basically the entire day at how big everything was ! From the amazing rides, the mind blowing view of the snow capped California mountains to the tour of the entire park where it shows we they film alot of movies scenes on the pre-existing sets : I was frothing, couldn't wipe the smile off my face !
Got home that night and after a feed me and Ev heading out to a few bars for beers and watch the lakers game. After a couple he left me to my own devices. Wasn't going to sit on my own but my accent didn't make it hard for me to make friends pretty quick ... Got introduced to fireball whisky then the rest of the night is pretty much a blur. Nicole waking me up the next morning by her bellowing laugh and demanding stories - good night !
