5hours later than my estimated time of arrival I'm checking into the green house hostel in foz do iguazu. Iguazu falls is located on the Brazilian and Argentinian border and is visible from both sides. After a chilled first night we were feeling rather adventurous and decided to attempt to tackle both sides in the one day..
Brazil for breakfast argentina was the goal!
Getting to the entrance for the Brazilian side bright eyed and bushy tailed for an abnormally early start of 8.30am. We were quickly swept up by a good who said the best way to expierence the falls was to motor straight into the eye of the beast by boat... We were sold!
Our guide was great. He understood our objective for the day (even though he spoke little English) and was very assertive in pushing us from site to site and ensuring we were on the correct buses.
After a short journey through the jungle we arrived at the terminal to board the boats.. Stripped down to boardies and we were physced. Matty and DC both equip with their go pros.
It didn't take long to realism what we were in for... The deafening sound of gallons of water moving with such force was a breath taking spectacle!! Really has to be seen to be believed... Driving directly under one of the first falls with water hammering directly down on the boat allows you to witness the sheer power of this massive beast - what a rush !!!! We absolutely soaked and buzzing..
Was now time to hit the upper decks for some Better viewing and great snaps.. Place is truely epic!!
Our guide was there tapping his watch - gotta go!! 12.30 cab waiting to take us to argentina...
This is where things get a little pair shaped. The border cross myself and jobe were denied access because being an Australian citizen you need prior visa approval to enter argentina. Guess we should of looked into that!? As the kiwis got the green light me and jobe are left at the border thinking WTF are we going to do now!?! Never fear our trusty female cab driver dropped the boys off at the entrance of the Argentinian falls and was back post haste.
From here straight back to the hostel where we applied and paid our fee of $100USD (gee up!). Kicked straight onto an Internet cafe to print our forms then a brief stop to buy some local currency. And next thing you know we're in!
The Argentinian side, said to be the better of the two was everything everybody had hyped it up to be.. "The devils throat" - hard to put into words this phenomenal site!
Met bake up with the kiwis for the trip home and we were exhausted.
Got recommended the best Brazilian churasco BBQ in iguazu and ate our selves into food comas like kings. Well deserved we thought after conquering the dual sides of what is to be remembering as the beast they call "iguazu" !!

Slept like babies ... Before an interesting bus ride to Argentinas capital - Buenos Aires
