Today's photo was taken at New College in Oxford and was the site of filming in the fourth Harry Potter movie where Moody turns Malfoy into a ferret,mew even stood under the tree itself!

Oxford, less than an hour by train from London and you feel I've you've landed on a movie set. We explored the quaint streets and a few of the colleges, saw students darting about and lecturers in academic gowns. The buildings and grounds of the colleges are gorgeous, the dining halls very grand, and the atmosphere was inspiring, although it was a bit chilly and wet.

We jumped into our white ( inside joke) Vauxhall Insignia car and drove into the picture perfect green rolling hill country side of the Cotswolds. Our 6 bed family room at the Stow on the Wold YHA is very different to the 6 room apartment in Pimlico, but we had more conversation, laughs and card games in the common room in the evening. The beds clean and comfy we all slept well after a hearty feed at a local pub.
