We were up early ready to see London from high. We boarded the London Eye well before expected boarding time so we missed the dreaded long queues!! It is an amazing structure and a great way to get an overview of the large city. Our next stop was the Tate Gallery of Modern Art before heading back several centuries in time to The Tower of London. An amazing place with a gruesome history, however the crowds were enormous and it was difficult to hear the entertaining yet informative guide. So we split up to explore the castle, the turrets and towers and view the Crown Jewels.
Dinner was at an Indian Restaurant in Pimlico that Stan has been hanging out for since his visit last year. We were fortunate enough to catch up with Leah Kessner, a friend from Williamstown. Can't believe that this little girl I used to take home from primary school on Fridays is now a young woman living, working and travelling independently in Europe. It was great to see her, then worry that she got home ok.....
