We were up early to hit the road by 7.30am. It's quite surprising that I'm waking up early & getting ready on time, especially with late nights. I suppose napping on the bus during the day helps, but so does the fear of being left behind!!

We drove most of the day heading for New Orleans. Pretty boring but we played a few games and napped of course.
Arrived at New Oleans around 5ish. We checked into our hotel, another big double bed each!! Yay!! I'm bunking with Sophie this time.

JD took us on a walking tour around the town for about an hour, and we saw the Mississippi River!! Nice.

Back to the hotel for an hour or so to freshen up then head out to dinner. We went to a really nice restaurant where we had a round of Hurricanes, the local New Orleans special cocktail. I ordered some chicken/rice thing, but oh man, it was soooo hot!! I struggled through it coz I was hungry, but didn't really enjoy it.

Then we headed out on the town. We went to about 3 or 4 different places which were all bopping along and pretty cool... a good night was had by all. We got back rather late, hence no blog last night... first night I've missed in 2 weeks, so I'm doing pretty good.
