I fly home today!!! I am very excited. So I woke up 10 minutes before my 6:30 alarm - annoying. I got myself ready, said goodbye to Stacy and made my way back to the terminal.
On a side note, Stacy and I got emails last night telling us our housing assignment. We got adjacent singles in a suite in Fairchild - exactly what we wanted.
So when I got to the terminal there was a pretty long line to check-in but because I already had my boarding pass I got to skip a portion of the line. There was this woman with a couple of older kids, with large suitcases, who kept running into people and knocking over signs and stuff. She was just causing problems all over the place. One of my bags was a couple kgs. overweight but they didn't charge me anything.
After security I had to wait around about half an hour before the gate was announced.
The flight was on time and everything went smoothly. This plane was bigger and more comfortable than the one I took on the way over here. The landing was a little rough but overall all good. I had to wait forever for my baggage but nothing was lost so I was grateful.
It was so nice to see Dad at the airport. It was nice to see a familiar face. Bucky was there too, and the little whippersnapper. I was so excited. I had no idea she was coming too. I figured they weren't going to bring her because they were going to get stuff at IKEA. She was so excited to see me, and I her.
Then we all went to IKEA where we wandered around the store for quite awhile and ordered the cabinets. After exhausting the whole store and waiting around for the cabinets then we hit the road and were home around 11. Too late to go to the party but just as well, I was exhausted. It felt great to finally be back home with family and the familiar.
