Goodbye LV. Hitting the road about 10am, after planning to leave about 9, our first stop was 2min down the road at McDonalds for breakfast. Needed to fuel up for our 7hour drive to Yosemite NP, our next stop. The scenery was the highlight of the drive as we passed from scrubby hills, through Death Valley that had no plant growth whatsoever, and on through magnificent pine forests. Reaching Yosemite, the terrain became on of stunning mountains, waterfalls, streams...

We ended up seeing three very different shows during the 3 days we spend in LV. The first, 'O' was a Cirque de Soleil production. The main stage had a platform that lowered and formed a large swimming pool. A major, very professional production. The second was called 'Zombie Burlesque' and was a small fun production full of laughs. We also went to one with a hypnotist and that was also very funny. The days were over 45 degrees, so time was spent mainly in casino...

Last night's beers around the campfire led to a good nights sleep. But we were up as the sun rose to plan the days events. After a 2k walk around the canyon rim, it was back to the visitor's centre to watch an informative and very picturesque film about the Grand Canyon. Then back to camp to pack up tents and move on. After a very efficient pack up this morning, we head towards the Grand Canyon. The town of Page is just over the Arizona border, and is home to Lower Antelope canyon. What appears as a long hole in the ground, opens up to a spectacular carved out underground sandstone canyon.
