A very quick visit to Hungary on our way into Romania. We will hopefully be back to see more in a couple of weeks.

Egar is famous for wine nick named 'Bulls Blood'. As we had just been to the cash machine and discovered that Dai was in fact a Hungarian millionaire we decided to have a glass of Hungarian wine to celebrate; I can confirm that it is delicious.

We both really liked Egar, probably partly to do with the fact it was amazingly warm and sunny and people seemed to speak English. But the town is very picturesque.

Whilst there we saw an advert for a tour of 'the Town Beneath the Town' which was very exciting! Probably not the best title for a tour of a really big wine cellar. The tour was entirely in Hungarian but one of the people on the tour decided to translate every word the guide said into Czech which made the tour twice as long but no more understandable.

Looking forward to seeing more of the country and also feeling richer when we check our bank balances in Forint for a second time.
