Had a great flight from Singapore, met a lovely lady called Monica who was immigrating to Adelaide with her family and they had come out to oz in October while she had to finish the time in her job!!!! Landed in Sydney airport and got greeted by our friends, Guy and Helen, in Christmas hats which was brilliant!!!
We're staying in Bondi beach and spent Christmas Day on a nearby beach called Bronte having a BBQ and getting merry - great fun but really different to our usual Christmas Day! Boxing day was spent in a similar way at Coogee beach. Jem and I walked along the spectactular coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee which takes about an hour. South after Bondi you arrive at the very pretty Tamarama Beach which has lovely coves and strong rips, next is Bronte Beach which is a nice beach and grassy park area. From there you walk past the atmospheric sun-bleached Waverley Cemetery onto Clovelly Bay which is a narrow scooped out beach with little surf but good for swimming. You then head along Cliffbrook Parade to Gordons Bay and onto Coogee. The views are amazing and it's a very enjoyable walk.
Now we are on a mission to find jobs and a flat before next Wednesday when we have to move out of our hostal!!!
So we have a busy time before the New Years Eve celebration on the harbour watching the fireworks. Hope you all had a great Christmas and lots of wishes for a fab New Year!!
Take care, lots of love xxxx p.s. it's very hot here!!!! hee hee hee xxxxx
