Left Siem Reap on a bumpy road back to Bangkok. Along the way we ended up in a big traffic jam caused by a bus stuck firmly in the muddy track that passed as a road. It didn't take too long to haul it out with the aid of the lorry behind and then everyone on the road joined in to rebuild the road with the stones laying around.
Stayed on Khoa San road which wasn't the highlight of our trip, we spent most of our time drinking, hanging around untill Monday to sort out some flights which didn't happen in the end anyway. We did though visit the national gallery and had a free portrait drawn of each of us deffinately more flattering than photographs, they will be framed if they survive.
Took another overnight bus to Ko Samui this deffinatelty wasn't uneventfull. After 15 minutes smoke started to waft up into the back of the bus and only after 5 minutes of screaming fire at the driver did he stop and let us get off. It did only turn out to be the air conditioning and the driver seemed quite happy to let us back on after only a few minutes the rest of us weren't too sure. Met a couple of people on the boat across the island and decided to catch a ride with them to some bungalows that promised to be cheap and they were. Spent the days hanging out with a great bunch of people from all over the EU.
The first day we were taken by a german couple to see a lady boy show it is not fair that men can have bodies like that. I can see how mistakes are made!
Next day we went to the Full moon party at Ko Phangan with 2 polish, 3 spanish, 2 dutch, french, Scottish and 2 German and us. Lots of people to watch each others back. Aaron loved it but the place was very packed and full of drunk English covered in body paint flirting with everyone and anyone they could. We left at 5.30 just as the sun was coming up after a dramatic exit and arrived back at the bunglows just in time for breakfast. The next day the resort was very quiet while everyone slept off the effects of the night before. Last night in Ko Samui we had a private party on the beach with good music and lots of Chang and spy wine cooler just another ordinary night at the bungalows.
