Had all good intentions of being up at 4.30 to leave camp by 5 to get to the canyon to see the sunrise and beat the heat. It was so peaceful in the swag and with a little breeze it certainly wasn't to hot and this made it difficult to rise! We eventually got up about 5ish packed up camp watched the sunrise (or what there was of a sunrise) whilst driving down to the canyon. Arrived at the canyon about 6.25 ready to get prepared for our canyon rim walk. 6k's and will take 3-4 hours they said.
Milly sighted the first wild dingo whilst driving down to the canyon as the sun was rising.
We completed 2 walks at the canyon, the first was the canyon rim walk 6k's and took us 2 hours and 51 mins the second was the kings creek walk. It was 2.5ks and took us about 49mins Started first walk at 6.45 by the time we got there and packed our back pack and filled our water bottles and sun creamed it up! We arrived back about 9.30 ish had a quick break to re fuel the bodies and the water bottles off load the back pack and then take the short Kings creek walk.
We then hit the road headed for Kathleen Springs and eventually Uluru.
