Today is the 2nd day of class so I finally have computer access. The keyboard is different here so bear with my typing. Here is a quick recap of my trip so far....

MUNICH - It was soooooo hot when I got in that the first day/night was really uncomfortable. There was just no relief from the heat because there was no AC or even a fan in our hostel. Other than that the hostel was nice and clean. We were in a room with girls from Soeul South Korea and Canada. Stacey and I probably looked like paranoid americans because we had our bags all locked up while everyone else left there bags open.

DACHAU - was interesting and so sad. It is just so hard to believe you are walking the same places where so many prisoners once lived and died.

PRAGUE - Stacey's friend Anna is a wedding planner in Prague and has lived there for 4 years so she is a great tour guide. We stayed with her and it was great to feel at home. She made us dinner the first night and breakfast every other day. The clean bathroom though was priceless!! We walked Prague in a day and as you can see from the pictures covered all the major sites. Prague castle and the Charles bridge were my favorite. There is a gold cross on the bridge that you are supposed to put your left hand on and make a wish.

We had a long train ride to Innsbruck from Prague but we made it to the hostel on Saturday night. This hostel was very quiet and a lot smaller than the one in Munich. Stacey and I shared a room. We didn't get in until 11pm so the person working was very upset when we showed up at 11pm. Customer service is definintely rare in Europe! In Prague a woman had a bee fly into her glass of wine and when she asked for another one to replace it the server told her "that's not my problem." She had to pay for the 2nd glass.

INNSBRUCK - Today is the 2nd day of class and I am feeling more settled now that I have had a couple days to walk Innsbruck. It has a small town feel and everything is really close. Innsbruck is in a valley so everyway you look is a great view of the Alps. I have never seen such beautiful amazing mountains. It rained and was so cold yesterday that it felt like winter. I lost my windbreaker on a train so I had to go buy another one yesterday. Now that it is clearing up I will take some pictures.

The classes are interesting and I have to say Chief Justice Roberts is a good looking man. I have walked more in the past week than ever before but I have also had a lot of beer. Since they don't serve drinks with ice here and water is usually bottled at restaurants its cheaper and more refreshing to get a cold beer. There is a lot of reading for classes though so I need to get started so I can go out tonight. I will post more pictures tonight.

FYI it is such a small world my roommate is not only from El Paso she also graduated from Hanks High School and we live a block away from each other in El Paso. She is great and really nice.
