After a very long 9 Hours in Dubai airport, we boarded our flight, half excited because it means we are close to our destination, only 6 hours flying till Hamburg. Only half excited though because the other half is saying "no, no more sitting". The flight to Hamburg is surprisingly good, no sleep for anyone though. I have to say, flying Emirates on this leg has been great, the service was brilliant, two of the cabin crew took a shine to Paige, even taking family shots and putting them in little frames for us, how sweet.

We arrive in Hamburg on time, to fine weather. How great was it to be met at the airport by a driver and taken straight to hotel, no thinking required.

By this time we are all walking zombies, so the first thing we do is shower and change. We spend the afternoon going for a bit of a walk with Nanny, but it we soon realise that no one is going to make it far so we go to a little restaurant and have our first German schnitzel. Really good food thankfully served fast as all three kids are putting their heads on the table throughout the meal. We walked back to hotel, and all asleep by 7pm.

Funniest thing of the day was when we arrived at the hotel........lovely hotel by the way, the girls were excited to see Poppy in the hotel restaurant.
I said go and talk to him, but they were all shy, so Noel had a look, and said yeh I think that's him over there, it's hard to tell, all the old Lions men look the same, and they do. I reckon there were about a dozen men I could have mistaken for my own dad.
