Anouk: This morning we visited an awesome castle that looked amazing (Eltz Castle). First we had to drive there which took about 1 hour. We then followed a track through the bush, leading down to the castle (it was 1.3km long). We tried getting some good photos for the blog but they weren't that great because it was in the sun. When we bought our tickets, the lady gave Harley and I a packet of mini biscuits each with chocolate icing in the middle for free!!! Inside the castle looked awesome and instead of looking around ourselves we waited 20 minutes for an English tour group so we could be shown around. We first walked into a room with weapons and suits of armour. The tour group group leader told us that the suits of armour weigh 60 pounds! There was also a sword in there and they only used it in ceremonies and celebrations because it was really special, made out of a swordfish bill so it was all spiky. One of my favourite things that I saw was an awesome bed. I liked it because it had steps leading up into it and it was pretty private because it had coverings all around, it looked fancy and warm. The rest of the tour was also really cool.
Harley: Today we visited Eltz Castle. The castle has 100 rooms, 40 fire places and the oldest bed in Germany that is 600 years old! Inside we saw bedrooms, dining rooms, a kitchen, weapons and more. My favourite thing in the castle were the rugs, they were bear skin rugs and they had angry faces on them. Next we went to the treasury that held the castles most valuable goods. Inside there were lots of collections of guns, art work, china and gold and silver plates and cups. After we left the castle, we went to a pool. The pool had 2 hydroslides, 1 water slide, 3 pools, 1 wave pool and a spa. On the hydroslide and the water slide I went really fast and then did a big splash into the water. Anouk and I also had a few fights with the water guns. The pool was great fun because of all the different water activities.
