A couple of us has 2 days to get here (Paul - longest travel from Washington State) and Taylor (cheaper airfare turned into day full of misery), but we all made it! We had our first dinner and enjoyed time with the National Habitat Director tonight as they welcomed us to their country and program.
We had the normal get to know you conversations (show me pictures of your dogs) and some of us were distracted by the 'Miracle in Minnesota' (The Italians next to us weren't sure what they were cheering about).
We'll all excited to be here and experience this great opportunity in front of us. We ease in tomorrow with a walking tour and work site training. We learned tonight that we should have all packed work pants as we will be working with concrete this week. Most of us will be taking a risk with our shorts -- maybe we'll all be shopping for pants by Wednesday, but it's hard to dress that way when many of us experienced a 100 degree change from -15 to 85 today!
