Vancouver to Whistler: We had a beautiful walk yet again around Vancouver the morning we left and decided that this certainly a sailing mecca with 1000's of boats moored in the harbour. You can see the one we had for a couple of days on our photos!
Then we collected our friends Kate and Paul who had flown in from Las Vegas. You can see from photo they were a little slow! Then off to whistler. We managed to find our hotel in the dark and then, of course, found a place to have dinner.
Today has been a sight for sore eyes. We had a day pass on the lifts and gondolas to the top of the mountain. It is a pity Bill doesn't like heights as he didn't really seem to enjoy the day until back on firm ground. See pictures. For the rest of us the scenes were spectacular - a descriptive word for Barry. The air was fresh with a chill and one sensed a feeling of peace looking at the snow capped mountains - except Bill of course, who kept working out if there were other ways to descend the mountain. Unfortunately for him he had to join us on the return journey…

Shelley Well Dad certainly did not look like he was enjoying that gondala ride!! So did Dad go home a different way? Great views but I am with Dad, no heights for me!! Enjoy your time with Kate and Paul. Love to you both xxx
Lyndon That guiness pie looked big enough for 4. Heights obviously did not take away his appetite
