From Tofino-a beautiful setting where the fir trees and mountains meet the sea.

On our drive to Tofino we met another cousin of Bill's, also Bill Ferguson, whom he hadn't seen for over 50 years. We were wondering if we would recognise but we needn't have worried as the Ferguson genes shone through. I felt the new Bill Ferguson had very similar traits to my Bill's Dad - see photo. Bill was a little jealous as he had a golf handicap of 3 but he does play at least 3 or 4 times week. En-route we visited a magnificent forest of red cedar trees which were over 700 years old.

Our condo in Tofino overlooked the water with sea-planes landing or taking off, water taxis delivering school children and kayaks constantly passing our window. Bill convinced me to have a sea plane ride. I was very apprehensive but thoroughly enjoyed. The scenery was wonderful.

Back at our condo we had an amazing built in chef - Barry Bill's cousin in-law. Breakfasts and dinner equalled or surpassed those we have been sampling along the way. Unfortunately that comes to an end tomorrow when we leave our cousins and spend a few days in Vancouver. Until then…

PS In case you didn't check the updates on the water taxi ride we did go on one - with a bit of nagging required and of course they all enjoyed!!
