Winding Down to Gear Up...
Okay, so this is going to be short as I am currently in a mad sketchy locutorio with three men who are becoming increasingly drunk.
I just wanted to let everyone know that things are going really well here in Spain. It´s getting to be a stressful time of the semester, as all ends of semesters are. This one is a little more because, taking a minute to count here, I have about twenty-five or so pages to write and three exams to study for, all in Spanish. It´s a lot of work but making myself do it, I feel like I´m learning more now than I have all semester. I have also realized that I am at the point now where I am learning not just fast, but rapidly and have decided to stay a little longer. Marísa could not be happier and I think the guys are to. This has sent me into a frenzy of figuring out odd jobs to pay for it. So far I´ve come up with dogwalking, house cleaning, selling drinks on the beach, teaching English, editing in English, finding wealthy men to pay for everything...okay, I´d rather die before resorting to that last one, but the others are all valid options. I have a feeling a whole new kind of adventure will be starting once my classes finish.
Después, haha I did it again, that´s Spanish for ¨later,¨ I´m heading to Italy. My goal is to kill myself and be as good as I can be in Spanish before I go mix myself up with Italian. I know, things just change and change, but they all seem to be changes for the good, so I´m excited!
I have also recently made a very good looking new friend who believe it or not is a fellow Baptist. It´s nice to know that in the weeks to come, when I won´t have the group of students anymore, I´ll have other people to hang out with. I went to visit him at work today and felt not just like I got a glimpse of Spanish life, but that I was a part of it. It was quite a riot, and I hope to get time to write about it soon.
Okay, enough is enough. These guys are driving me crazy. I also wanted to let you know I´ve uploaded some new videos, so I hope you enjoy them.
All my love!
