Keeping track of murray
The move over the weekend all went to plan i think. I arrived back to the old flat on friday to find it totally empty, with just a map taped to the door. They had only moved two blocks but it took some finding and a phone call or two. Do you think that they were trying to lose me? Anyway. we have moved to a house which is bigger. It's set away from the street and is very nice, except that you have to negotiate 3 doors / gates to get in. Also there is a 4th door which is locked at 11.30 at night and none of us have a key yet, so early nights all round at the moment. On sunday I did the sightseeing thing, went to the coca museum, did you know Coca Cola still has coca in it? and Plaza Murillo - the governement and commerical centre of la paz and the cementry which is a sight. I managed to take a few sneaky pictures. It's a bit quiet in La Paz at the moment for us (the volunteers) as there is only about 3 of us left. I think the demonstrations have put a lot of people off coming here. Although backpackers have started to come back so at we don't stick out quite so much. There are hardly any demonstrations going on at the moment either. I've booked myself spanish lessons every day this week so better get practicing, and we are going to finish our paper mache project at the home. There will be only 2 of us at the project so will be very busy! Dad... i can't put any of the childrens details on here in case either the parents, or any weirdos see them as it's a public website. I will copy of my photos onto a CD and send them home. I'll tell you all about them when i get back.
My spanish teacher was asking me today, do we say in English 'I have to go to the toilet' or 'i need to go to the toilet' (in spanish you just go) I don't know the answer........ I said it depends how old you are.
He has lots of these little gems.... He's supposed to be the teacher. Doesn't he realise how bad my grammer is?
lots of love... murray.
