Well me and Rob woke up Very hungover! Panicked as we realised we had a cooking class in just under hour.
Jessie, Jonny and rob and I went to a cooking class at 9am! We all met in the reception and were picked up in a land rover and taken about an hour away to a lovely cookery school near the mountains. It was funny as Jessie, Rob and I got to sit in the car with the A/C whilst Jonny was in the trailer at the back crammed in with everyone else.. he did not look happy.
We first stopped at market for food and explanation on what they use. This was interesting as she went through all there local vegetables and spices! Her name was Mom which was also funny!
After looking round the market we made our way to the cookery school, looked a bit like bake off as we all had our own tables and coolers.
I made fresh spring rolls, pad Thai, sticky mango rice, a noodle soup and Thai green curry! It was all so delicious. We made the things one by one and then would sit at a table on the floor and eat it! The one thing that really stood out to me is that they use flowers instead of food colouring. With the rice I had to pour in flowers and then squeeze them against the pan to get the purple colouring out of them! It was so interesting!
After he cooking class, we came back and got the private little bus to Pai at 4:30! It was strange as Jessie, Sadie, Rob, Jonny, Shane and I got a mini bus to ourselves.
The roads were so so windey, I think it’s the worst road I have been on so far. You work your way up through the mountains to Pai, we had a lot of I’m going to be sick moments! We played games to distract for 3 hours!
