Was checked in to the Summer Hostel in Palolem which is south Goa. This is the more chilled end of the island. In he north they have a lot of trance music which is defiantly not me.
I was in a shared room of eight and everyone was really nice. I made friends with two boys called Freddie and Jamie, both from London. We then all went down for our included breakfast, which was actually really tasty. I had a massive fruit bowl with a tea.
We then decided we were going to go to this remote beach and they invited there friends Taylor and Jaron from the North.
We walked into Palolem town to hire motor bikes. I had never ridden before so I managed to squeeze onto the back of someone’s! We had three bikes in total and made our way to Cola Beach.
First time on a motorbike and it felt so so fast sitting at the back. I had a helmet on as Freddie gave it to me. However half way down the rounds rods there was a police man pulling people over for drivers that didn’t have helmets. We had to pay the equivalent of )1.00 in rupees and show the listen every then we had to swap helmets and made our way! I really regretted wearing flip flops as they always felt like they were going to fall off.
We then got to a really bumpy, sandy and gravelly hill. It was so so dangerous to drive down. We got half way down this really dangerous hill to the beach and then managed to topple us and the bikE over! It was very dangerous and a nasty bruise appeared on my leg! Luckily no one was hurt, Freddie just had a deep cut on his elbow.
We then decided to abandon the bikes and walk the rest and as we walked down another girl was biking up and she managed to topple over too! Luckily the boys were there to help her up!
She mounted the bike and we told her tot stick to the left and before we knew it, she got on the bike and accelerated off of the cliff! As we were slightly down hill it was scary as we run up and thought she was dead! Thankfully there was a fallen palm tree which was holding her and the bike! If she has done it a few metres earlier she would of been dead!
Jaron took her on her bike up to the top of the hill, I don’t think she will ever go on a bike again! Apparently she was shaking all the way. It’s such a dangerous hill and had no signage at all!
We then walked to beach, it was so so beautiful. There was hardly no
Tourists there the sea was so still and the sand was sooo clean! We went in the sea for a bit and then there was a lagoon which was surrounded by beach huts! This was so so lovely! We had a great day at the beach and even had a pasta for dinner in the only cafe on the beach!
We then came back for dinner and ate at a place on Palolem main high street called Little Italy! It was delicious! The pizza was so so amazing!
