Today, we had a free day which was really relaxing. Me and Emmanuel woke up early and walked to the beach. Little did we know we walked to the wrong beach. It was the locals beach. We walked down a long sand pathway which was full of rubbish. When we got to the beach there was lots of ladies in sari’s in the sea! We thought there would be places for breakfast but there wasn’t. So we decided to walk elsewhere!
We walked along the main road and found a cafe called Namaste Cafe, it was delicious. I had a theee course breakfast. Cheese omlette for starters, then a fruit salad then honey and banana. It was amazing.
We then walked and walked in the windy streets. We came across a large group of ladies sitting on the floor, about 30 I’d say. We walked past, thankfully not taking a photo. We here crying and a man asks us if we knew what was going on. He then explains to us that a young boy died in a motor cycle accident last night and they were waiting for the post Morton! This was so sad to see.
We carried on walking down a brightly coloured street, it was amazing! We then fell onto the beach. It was full of many boats and dead fish on the sand! We had to watch were we was walking! We took a stroll then decided to go back to the hotel for a break as it was incredibly hot!
After our break at the hotel we went and had an ice cream on the way to the beach. I had lemon and strawberry sorbet! Once we arrived at the beach we decided to go on the Indian Ocean, it was surprisingly warm! We then read and sunbathed before dinner!
Dinner we had at a local fish restaurant. It was reLly strange because as soon as you sir down they bring over a tray of fish and ask you to pick what you want to eat off the tray, the lobster was still moving! I had fish in garlic butter with rice, it was delicious!!
